AN EXALTATION: GLORIOUS LORD
I come before you to say thank you. Thank you for loving me. For showing me what love really is. For delivering me. For blessing me with your Spirit. Thank you Father for exchanging my sorrow and pain for joy unimaginable. Thank you for healing me internally and externally. Thank you for carrying me through the times I could not do so on my own. Thank you for strengthening me when I would faulter. Thank you for keeping my back straight when I was given an altimatum. When others desired me to follow them and ditch my faith. Oh,Glorious God! Thank you,thank you. I am nothing without you. Til death Lord let me serve you. Use me. Continue to renew my mind as I continue to seek you. I give you all praise and glory. You alone are worthy to receive praise.
When I awake you are there. When I lay me down you are there. Lord when I was kicked out at 17 it was the best thing. Too come to know you . To experience such sweetness. To taste the love you have for me. Who held me when I was alone? You! Who said I am precious? You! Who said ,"You are my child?" You Lord,you! When I sat and cried all night til my chest ached from man's oppression,who wiped my tears? Precious Lord it was you! Who cleanses my heart and teaches me to keep my mouth from guile? Who held me in the dark when all had abandoned me? Haha! My Lord it was you! And you never give me more than I can bare.
Glory to you! Even in my darkest days. Broken. Crushed. Too hurt to speak. To plagued in the mind to comprehend. You were there each time. When I was violated and left alone to wonder on my own...you were there. yes you were there. And...you still are.
In the dark when I pray,you hear me. When I cry for joy or sorrow in spirit....you are there. When I was sought to be placed in bondage on the job..you were there. You gave me strength to keep my head held high. You reminded me who I am.
Thank you to my Father who loves and heals. Thank you Lord! I love you.
